I am a graduate of Georgia Tech, with a major in Computer Science and minors in Biomedical Engineering & Industrial Design. I have a previously earned bachelor’s degree in Engineering Psychology (completed at FAU in 2002). I was a Senior Relationship Manager with RBC Bank from 2006 through 2011, where I gained experience in project and personnel management, and software development emphasizing the essential role of UX research in the development of successful new applications.
My education at Georgia Tech has prepared me for a career in software engineering that prioritizes Agile user-centered design, and I’m driven by the prospect of contributing to the design and development of emerging technologies.
The programming classes I’ve completed include a core course in object-oriented programming with Java, a data structures & algorithms course with Java, a course with projects coded using C# (Computer Audio/Sonification Interface Development), a computer organization course in which I learned Assembly and the C programming language, and a course with projects written in Python (Computational Photography/Computer Vision for Media Applications). I’ve completed a course in relational database (RDB) design and development, gaining insight into the theoretical basis for RDB design, including the relational algebra and calculus that serves as the mathematical foundation for SQL, and learning the fundamentals of how SQL is used to query a database. My final project for this course involved the full-stack implementation of a library management system. I’ve also completed the required collaborative object-oriented design course, gaining experience with programming mobile applications written in Java for Android and Agile Software Development.
My Capstone Project (described in detail on Page 2 of my CV) was written in Typescript using Angular for the front-end of the application, and Java with Spring Boot and a Postgres database for the back-end.
My CV includes a link to my GitHub repositories, with my academic coding projects written in C#, Python, Java, JavaScript, Typescript, C, and SQL. I’ve also included a link to my portfolio containing coding project analyses, and sample works which demonstrate my experience working with computer-assisted design (CAD) software and wireframing applications.
I graduated from Georgia Tech in December of 2019 with a 3.26 GPA (3.38 major GPA), and my immediate goal is to find a full-time position as a software engineer. The programming & design skills I’ve learned during my time at Georgia Tech have equipped me with an interdisciplinary skill set & the foundation for a career as a software engineer.
